For too long we have neglected the environment of La Porte... for too long we have paved over habitat vital to the wildlife around us!
La Porte is SUPPOSED to be a BIRD sanctuary... where shall the birds nest?
On containers piled high by the Port of Houston? 
Shall we just cut down EVERY tree... or just every OTHER tree?
Where do we draw the line?
When EVERYTHING is dead?
Because EVERYTHING is dying NOW... including US!
Why do you think the biggest Cancer hospital in the world is in Houston, Texas? 
Where is the once beautiful town I grew up in?
I can't see it.
I know it's still here somewhere.
I cried when I saw the DESTRUCTION being carried out on South Broadway.
Where have all of the wonderful woods gone? 
Is there nothing sacred?
Shall we just kill everything?

Just who is the City Council working FOR... the Citizens?

Or big money interests... only interested in raping La Porte?
